Who handles your data

The data controller is Maria Serpetti, who publishes books under the Eldama Publishing imprint. For any question about your data, write to privacy@eldamapublishing.com.

Eldama Publishing books are signed with author names (pen names). The emails you receive carry the name of the author of the book you signed up from, and they are sent from an @eldamapublishing.com address.

What we collect

When you fill in the form on one of our book pages, we collect:

When you receive our emails, our email service records whether you open them and which links you click. We use these numbers only to learn which emails are useful, not to profile you.

Why we use it

  1. To give you the free content (bonus) you asked for.
  2. To send you, now and then, emails from the author of the book: tips related to the book, more free content and news about the author's new books.

The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of EU Regulation 2016/679, the "GDPR"), which you give by ticking the box on the form. The free content is offered to readers who agree to also receive the author's emails.

We do not sell or share your data with anyone. We do not use it for targeted advertising.

Where it is stored

We use two providers, who process the data on our behalf:

How long we keep it

We keep your data until you withdraw your consent. If you do not open any of our emails for 24 months, we remove you from our lists and delete your data.

Your rights

At any time you can:

We reply within one month. If you believe your data is being handled unfairly, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority of the country where you live.

Children

Our pages and emails are meant for people aged 16 and over. If we learn that we hold data from someone younger, we delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we publish the new version here with its date. If the change affects how we use your data, we tell you by email before it takes effect.
